BROADWAY CABARET FUNDRAISER
Music, Song, and Dance- Building a community through the arts. Scotts Valley Performing Arts presents their annual Broadway Cabaret show and fundraiser including a silent and live auction at the recently renovated Bethany University Theatre on February 27, 2010, at 7:30PM.Tickets may be purchased at the door or on SVPAA's website: www.svpaa.org. The ticket price includes light refreshments; $18.00 regular admission, $15.00 seniors and students. Doors open at 6:30pm.
The show features a variety of entertainment and performers brought to you by our local superstars, including musical acts from the Santa Cruz Follies, Shuffles Dance Studio, duets by MarNae Taylor and Christina Cree, Cindy Gorski and Naomi Rollins. Other local talent performing on the Bethany stage are Karen Stebbins, Joyce Michaelson, and Robert Lothrop, with accompaniment and performances with Drew Lewis.
Theatrical artists throughout Santa Cruz County are committed to delivering an evening of fun and laughter the entire family will enjoy.
Fundraising supports the continued viability of sponsoring the Youth Shakespeare program which has a spring workshop and culminates with the children performing in "A mid Summer Night's Dream in late June.
The funds also allow SVPA to continue producing such outstanding hits such as Oliver, Honk, and the Sound of Music.
Scotts Valley Performing Arts is proud to announce the fall 2010 production of "Into the Woods". Book by James Lapine, Music by Stephen Sondheim Lyrics, by Stephen Sondheim, and based on Classic Fairy Tales Two Acts, Book Musical. There will be nine (9) performances of Into the Woods at Bethany University Theatre, (SVPAA's home), beginning September 24, through October 10, 2010.
